Enhance your smile with dental veneers

The type of material recommended for dental veneers is porcelain. A thin, custom-made shell is created from a highly strong porcelain material, that’s applied to the front of the tooth. Created in a specialist dental laboratory, veneers are carefully designed and prepared to match your existing teeth; giving you a completely natural look.

Our treatment process

1. Your Consultation

Our dentist will examine your teeth and determine if dental veneers are a suitable option. This may involve taking X-rays or impressions of the teeth to create a treatment plan. Our dentist will also explain the procedure, including the benefits and potential risks.

2. Your Treatment

A small amount of the tooth enamel is typically removed to make room for the veneer. Next, an impression of your teeth will be taken to create custom-made veneers that match your natural teeth. Once the veneers are ready, they will be bonded to your teeth using a special dental adhesive.

3. Aftercare

You’ll be advised to avoid biting or chewing on hard objects as this can damage the veneers. It is also recommended you avoid consuming foods and beverages that can stain the veneers; such as coffee, tea, and red wine.

FAQs

  • Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells that are bonded to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They are typically made from porcelain or composite resin materials and can be used to correct a variety of dental issues such as discoloration, chipped or broken teeth, gaps between teeth, and misaligned teeth. The process of getting dental veneers usually involves multiple visits to the dentist. During the first visit, our dentist will prepare the teeth by removing a small amount of enamel to make room for the veneers. Impressions of the teeth will then be taken and sent to a dental laboratory where the veneers will be fabricated. Once ready, our dentist will bond the veneers to the teeth using a special adhesive. This process should not only cover up dental imperfections; giving you a less flawed smile, but also add strength to weakened teeth.

  • Porcelain veneers are durable and can last between 10 to 15 years provided a good oral health regime is retained.

  • While veneers can address a range of dental issues such as discoloration, chipped teeth, and gaps, they may not be the best option for individuals with severe tooth decay or gum disease. In such cases, it is important to address the underlying dental issues before considering veneers. Additionally, individuals with a history of teeth grinding or clenching may not be suitable candidates, as these habits can put excessive pressure on the veneers and cause them to chip or crack.

  • While dental veneers are not intended to be removable, they can be removed by a dentist if necessary. However, the process of removing them can be complex and may require the use of special instruments to gently separate the veneer from the tooth. It is important to note that once veneers are removed, the underlying tooth may be sensitive and may require additional dental work to restore its appearance.

  • Getting veneers fitted is not a painful procedure. Our Enjoyable Dentistry Technique™ will ensure that you’re comfortable throughout the process.

  • A small amount of enamel will be removed from the front surface of the teeth. This is necessary to create space for the veneers and ensure a proper fit. After the enamel is removed, impressions of the teeth are made and sent to a dental lab where customised veneers are fabricated. In the meantime, temporary veneers may be placed on the teeth to protect them. Once the permanent veneers are ready, they are bonded to the teeth using a special dental adhesive.

  • “Amazing service!! The best dentist i have honestly been too. I was always terrified of the dentist and after years of putting it off i was lured in by the reviews of Care Dental and it honestly was the best experience with a dental practice i have had my whole life. The receptionist Debby is very lovely and welcoming but so are they all i just can’t remember they’re names! They made me feel very welcome and calm throughout the whole process. My dentist was Taran and he made this 1000 times easier. I would 100 percent recommend him to anyone! Thank you for such a lovely service and experience!”

  • “My experience at Care Dental has exceeded my expectations tenfold. It was my first time at a dentist for some time and I immediately felt at ease. My teeth have been absolutely transformed in the past few weeks which is solely down to the credit of Dr Mahir and his team. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for dental treatment.”

  • “Brilliant service every time. Wonderful, highly professional and friendly dentists and reception staff. They treat you with care and respect and are very genuine. The only thing i’d improve is that I feel that the music in the main reception needs to be turned down a notch (little loud at times) and perhaps something a little more ambient and soothing maybe more appropriate. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful setting, clean facilities and nice waiting area. They’re the best in the area.”
